The partnership between Tays Food Limited and 2SCALE has the ambition to improve onion productivity while reducing post-harvest losses in Sokoto State. It focuses on improving production and storage management practices to prepare smallholder farmers, traders, and extension agents to meet the market demand of providing quality onion bulbs for different market segments. It will also contribute to improving the nutrition of BoP consumers as quality onion powder and flakes processed by women-led micro-enterprises will be available in the local market

About the business champion
Tays Food Limited (TFL) is a private company active in the trade, handling and storage of onions. TFL envisions to become one of the major players in Nigeria’s onion value chain sub-sector through setting up of a high class (700 Metric tons) storage and processing facility for white onion powder production for local and international markets.
