About the partnership

Côte d'Ivoire
Soy and Oil Seeds

The production of groundnuts in Cote d'Ivoire is widespread, but the commercial drivers for improving the professionalism and productivity in the sector are limited. The few commercial groundnut processors that are present in Cote d'Ivoire provide a good incentive for this. With one of these processors, K'Chibo, 2SCALE has set up a partnership to improve the organization of the groundnut sector, improve the traceability and quality of production with smallholder farmers, so that companies like K'Chibo have improved access to quality groundnuts and farmers can be more certain of steady market opportunities for groundnuts.

Next to working on the above, this partnership will also focus on development of new groundnut-based products, and strengthening the marketing of the existing Mielard product to low-income markets.
