This partnership aims to reduce malnutrition through access to nutritious (fortified and pre-cooked) soy-based foods for Base of Pyramid (BoP) consumers. The company hopes to achieve this through increased processing of soybean into corn-soya blended flours (CSB). Access to the BoP consumers will be enabled through the establishment of a distribution system that can reach the consumers as opposed to the current distribution that is done through institutions. In addition, the company also aims to increase the income of smallholder farmers and improve their livelihoods by reducing the importation of soybeans and sourcing them from local farmers. The partnership will also create opportunities for micro-entrepreneurs such as retailers and youth.
