About the partnership

Mali
Fresh Produce
Status:
Active

In an effort to diversify from it’s dependency on international markets for primarily mangoes, SCS has been working on the diversification of its activities into other products (fruits and vegetables) and markets (local) and thereby offering improved opportunities for local farmers and providing access to fresh and healthy vegetables and fruits in local markets. This partnership intends to contribute to SCS’s goal to supply local markets with fresh and healthy vegetables at a quantity of 1000 tons per year, produced by 15000 local farmers, by 2023. For the marketing, SCS will collaborate with female wholesalers of the open markets of Bamako, as well as develop a dedicated marketing approach to the niche market of (local) middle class customers.

About the business champion
