In this partnership, 2SCALE is working with two unions that lead the production of sorghum in the North-West of Ethiopia. The goal is to build more commercial opportunities in sorghum, benefiting smallholder farmers with increased access to markets, as well as providing BoP consumers with nutritious sorghum products.
There is a lack of proper market demand for sorghum-based products, limited availability of improved inputs, and poor agronomic practices for sorghum in the Northwest of Ethiopia, making the sorghum market in Ethiopia large, yet challenging.
