EVERGREEN aims to support vegetable smallholder farmers connecting them to the farmer academies for sustainable vegetable supply to SPAR superstores. The partnership agreement has been developed to deepen and scale the inclusive business model of providing access to sustainable high end vegetable market to smallholder farmers through selected aggregators to improve their income and at the same time improve the quality of vegetable (pesticide reduction/eradication) available general in the market. 

About the Business champion
EVERGREEN, a subsidiary of Artee group, is a company whose business objective involves producing, purchasing and supplying Artee supermarket chain, SPAR with fresh vegetables daily. In Nigeria, SPAR operates their own stores which offer a wide range of product categories namely; Grocery, Bakery, Wine & Spirits, Fast Moving Consumer Goods and Fruits & Vegetables. SPAR through the sister company EVERGREEN began investment to establish Farmer Academies and Agri-Service Parks in several locations in Nigeria with the vision of transforming the vegetable sub-sector, providing access to structured market for smallholder farmers thus contributing to the Nigeria economy.
