About the partnership

Niger
Fresh Produce
Status:
Active

This partnership aims to increase the small potato producers incomes and achieve food and nutritional self-sufficiency for BoP consumers in Niger. In the long term, this partnership seeks to reduce the massive importation of potatoes, what makes it currently an expensive and inaccessible food for the low-income population.

About the business champion

CCPHN is a Nigerian horticultural company specialized in potato production. In response to the collapse of basic food systems (mil, sorghum, rice, corn) due to the adverse effects of climate change, this company aims to develop the potato sector, a food with high nutritional and energy value. This is a promising and strategic choice for a country like Niger.
