Union Régionale des Cunniculteurs de l’Ouémè Plateau (URCOP) and Centre d’Education et de Développement de Compétences (CEDEC) are jointly driving this partnership. It aims to support diversification of peri-urban SHFs into the nascent rabbit meat sector, through initiatives of young rabbit breeder organizations. It aims also to create additional jobs for young entrepreneurs (traders, vets, slaughters, specialized restaurants, etc.).

Organize producers groups to sell in bulk under a contract that can serve as a guarantee
Sensitize producer groups to open bank accounts with ALIDé

Targets
Target of POs in terms of volumes equals 70,000 quality rabbits (meat) by 2017. Also involve 3,000 smallholder farmers (1,200 women) and 20 small and medium enterprises (20 women-led).
