A propos du partenariat

The partnership aims to test a farmer services and aggregation business model whereby RMG purchases quality soybean pulses from SHFs and supports them through input kits, training, agricultural extension and mechanization services; and CGEP supports capacity building efforts as well as aggregation of the pulses.

Achievements

Mobilize farmers, through radio, posters and leaflets

Organize a training-of-trainers (off-site field extension agents) in GAPs

Organize training of farmers in GAPs

Establish and monitor demonstration plots

Organize farmer-field days

Set up trials on soybean input packages

Develop a mechanization program

Targets:

This partnership supports the LORFOL joint venture between RMG and CGEP that consist of a farmer services and aggregation enterprise business model. LORFOL will benefit local enterprises in addition to 13,000 soybean SHFs by 2026.

Market Segments:

Soybean oil for the Unilever mayonnaise factory in Abidjan. Soybean cake for Ivorian animal feed and livestock enterprises (SIPRA, Nutrigrain, PARFACI, Interavi).
