Since 2016, 2SCALE is partnering with the Komborodougou farmers organization, to gradually improve their vegetable production. Next to the vegetables, a group of women within the organization, started to grow groundnuts, that they turn into a paste for their own consumption and sale. Néré and Shea grains are also part of the crops they process and market.
In April 2017, the women were producing around 300 litres of groundnut paste, and they struggled to distribute the product (stored in bulk in 30 containers of 10 litres). The sale was random, through word of mouth and the revenues that could have resulted remained insignificant and unstable. The main customers were travellers who sporadically bought large quantities for resale (retail in big cities), and some residents of Komborodougou.
